For many years the BSO has enjoyed a special relationship with Steinway & Sons, the world’s leading piano maker. You will find Steinway instruments on our stage and in our practice rooms, and Steinway is the piano of choice for all of our visiting artists.
Once each year we have the privilege of sharing with our patrons the opportunity to purchase the very pianos which have been played here at Symphony Hall and at our summer home at Tanglewood. In cooperation with M. Steinert & Sons, the area’s Steinway representative, we can offer you the opportunity to bring one of these special pianos into your own home – at substantial savings – through our Symphony Hall Piano Sale.
From September 5-8, Symphony Hall will be filled with dozens of pianos, including Steinway grands and uprights, a selection of Steinway-designed Boston and Essex pianos, and the amazing new Steinway Spirio, the world’s only player piano worthy of the Steinway name. Among this array are a number of pianos from the recently concluded season at Tanglewood. Pianos in all sizes and a number of finishes will be available for immediate selection.
All of these instruments are being offered at sharply discounted prices, making it easier than ever to acquire a piano of unmatched quality and tone. Trade-ins are accepted and special financing will be available.
As in past years, the Boston Symphony Orchestra will benefit from each piano sale. By purchasing one of these remarkable pianos, you will also be helping us fulfill our mission.
